Step !ing

Oops did i hold the shift button while i pressed 1? Hmmm looks like i did. But surprisingly the idea of using the backspace or the delete key doesn't seem to occur to me. Going back and trying to correct things does seem rather pointless doesn't it?. So even though i want to correct the previous statement about going back and correcting statements, i'm still going to go ahead and write.

Living in a place where your thoughts reign supreme is a kind of utopia in a lot of ways. At the same time it can also be considered an aboslute[and yes i mean absolute] pain.

"Angels on the sideline,
Baffled and confused.
Father blessed them all with reason.
And this is what they choose.
And this is what they choose..."
-Tool

It does seem to make sense doesn't it? Of course it does, if you have been mauled by a white rabbit that is, everything seems so contextless, but for those of us who still depend on them old haggly contexts let me try and place this a little better.

So lets assume we imagine this imaginary place which is like an old rickety post that hangs between a park and a carnival in a desert in the middle of the ocean. That makes no sense does it now? well thats pretty much how it is around the place i'm writing from. There is an illusion of great intellectual progress around this place, especially among those who pioneer the art of writing/reading or maybe even people who subscribe to a rather paradoxical ideology especially since our dear friend democracy seems to have taken off on a rather jolly gay picnic drinking pan galactic gargle blasters on tatooine watching the two suns set.

Getting back to the point which seems to be free floating in a variety of forms is the complete stupid form democracy seems to have taken on campus, physical strenght becomes a symbol of unity, and brainless support the fashion of the day. I saw a sale which said "let us wash your brain out with sulphuric acid and be the COOLEST around here! [p.s. your brain has no feeling so we promise you will not feel a thing]"

Its a long and winding hole these choices or rather illusion of choices seem to be taking us on leading us further and further into the ever shrinking rabbit hole of freedom[or the illusion of it] and then letting us blow up.

Sometimes i wonder what it takes for people to see the white rabbit?

Oops there he is again,

"Oh dear! Oh dear! I shall be too late!"

  1. Nothing like seeing you see many a things from such differing perspectives Abhishek! Glad to find this kind of a disturbance in you. Check out Ashis nandy's Traditions, Tyrannies and Utopias.

  2. Read this after.. holy shit, has it been nearly 2 years?! I'm in a carnival kind of mood, so when I threw those multi-sized, multi-coloured rings of context this-post-wards, the first one - surprisingly enough - ringed it. But more than the (temporary) sense it made, I'm jusht plain happy to have read something you wrote. Meaning missing your writing. Meaning you write so nicely, man. More, please?
